Artluck in Emma's Garden

September, our creative group gathered at the home of Emma, where we shared a meal of pulled pork, salad, chips, cookies, artist-themed focaccia bread, and a little wine.  The turnout was talent-filled and included our host, Emma, her partner Jim, Nancy, Melissa, Alex, Patsy, Wire, Clark, Don, Cyd, Terry, and myself.  After enjoying a wonderful meal, we took a tour of Emma's garden as she entertained us with tales of her green thumb efforts to cultivate an array of beautiful flowers and delectable vegetables.  We even ventured into the neighbors' yard to take in their wonderful koi pond and water feature.

Wire reported multiple sales from his Tall-man show at the Out of the Wood Winery gallery in Hayward.  Don and Patsy also made recent art sales, and Nancy received a commission for two house portraits.  Don shared a "Call for Art" put out by the Vino Cappuccino seeking feature artists for their farmhouse gallery.  Patsy put the finishing touches on the door mural at The Center in Chetek.  I passed out Artober Prompt lists to those looking to participate.  The conversation danced around colon health for a bit.  Melissa announced her acquisition of the Off our Rockers building in Chetek and shared some of her plans to make it an art destination for the area. Featuring such things as an art cafe, fishbowl guest studio, and gallery space.
