A small group of brave souls made their way through the winter storm to attend the December meetup. Patsy and CJ arrived early to secure our table and sample the refreshments, soon followed by Nancy, Mellisa, Chris, Wire, and Dee, with Ben and Amy arriving later.
Pokegama was warm and inviting as we all enjoyed delicious food and drinks. The discussions flowed freely, and while there were too many topics to remember them all, here are the highlights.
Melissa currently has her work featured at Blackmarx in Cameron. She also had a successful turnout while vending at Hope and Anchor in Chetek. Wire has agreed to exhibit at Blackmarx from January and February, after the holidays. Additionally, Nancy and Jen will be hosting a mermaid decorating party. Participants will decorate porcelain mermaids, which are molded from Nancy's original sculpture, with the intention of placing them in public spaces around Chetek.
The Show & Tell featured Nancy's miniature houses, the bathroom scene from "Psycho," and Thing from "The Addams Family." Melissa showcased some felted reindeer and her bear head, Baloo. Wire exhibited several striking landscapes in his signature style. CJ and Ben presented photos of their current projects. I apologize if I missed anyone.
Wire and Dee will be hosting the group at their home for January. They plan to provide the appetizers and refreshments. Check the calendar for details and updates
