November at the main street Gallery

We had a wonderful gathering last night at the Main Street Gallery and Gifts. Jen provided us with a delicious taco bar and a great selection of both soft and hard beverages. As usual, Patsy treated us to her famous Hostess Ding Dongs, which were a special delight. CJ Conner shared an entertaining story about her childhood experience of watching the Alfred Hitchcock classic "Psycho" in theaters at the young age of 10. This sparked further discussion about films and performers, along with a brief chat about music and some tales of youthful debauchery. Thank you, Jon, for sharing the engaging story about the police car.

We also discussed the opportunity to have a group show at the Heyde Center for Arts in Chippewa Falls and agreed on the exhibition date, which will run from August 2 to September 2027. This show will likely be a group exhibition without a specific theme, so mark your calendars!

During the Show and Tell segment, we enjoyed Sarah's everyday art weavings, Don Olson's stunning landscape of Upper Little Manitou Falls, and Nancy's progress on her beaded portrait of pop star Meghan Trainor. She also shared a miniature model of a mouse house hunting cabin and a mermaid porcelain mold from college. Ricky Howard showcased his magnificent rendering of Divine, and we all admired Wire's doodle faces series, along with Jen's beautifully crafted peacock teapot. I apologize if anyone was left out; that’s all I can remember!
